IT Support Specialist I

Location: Chantilly, VA or Washington, DC (Possibility for either location)

Travel: Up to 75% travel to Department of State locations OCONUS and CONUS

Clearance: Secret clearance required

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required

Passport: U.S. Passport required

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and configuration
• Proficient in Windows troubleshooting

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site and remote IT support for GovTact and the Department of State.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.
• Configure and maintain IT equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement technical solutions.
• Travel to Department of State locations OCONUS and CONUS as needed (up to 75% travel).
• Ensure compliance with security policies and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to end-users.

Qualifications:

• Secret clearance is mandatory.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• U.S. Passport is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and configuration.
• Proficient in Windows troubleshooting.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with government IT systems and protocols.
• Certifications in relevant IT areas (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Previous experience working in a customer service-oriented role.

Note: This position involves up to 75% travel to Department of State locations, both OCONUS and CONUS. Candidates should be flexible regarding travel requirements. The position may be based in either Chantilly, VA, or Washington, DC.
